As a long time Scooby-Doo fan, I really must say that this movie sadly didn't print me as much as I hoped it would. The animation and music were great, but the story and management...non so much. The whole "Monsters Being Real" thing was executed in likewise much of an in-your-confront kind of style, the jokes were flat, and whatever ambitions the filmmakers' had for this movie seemed...lost. The vocalization acting was also a relatively mixed pocketbook, with Billy West in particular giving the worst performance out of the film's cast members. His portrayal as Shaggy was awfully squeaky and annoying. The characters were also a mixed purse, because compared to various other installments of the Scooby-Doo franchise the side characters didn't comport as much memorability. Heck, Snakebite Scruggs was the film's most unimportant character, because as the film progressed information technology became apparent that he had little in the ways of a meaning purpose in the story. All in all, this is one Scooby-Doo motion-picture show that's inappreciably worth seeing and can hands be passed over.

Really haunting with a cleverness to the jokes. Jim Stenstrum'due south blithe comedic horror mystery Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island (1998) breathes new life into the dying formula of Scooby-Doo. Stenstrum directs Zombie Isle with a morbid sense of humor and a real passion for giving the characters more than personality. How I imagine each character is largely based on this pic with their motivations and personality rising from the grave like the zombie terrors within Zombie Island. Stenstrum was the perfect director for Scooby-Doo as he created all the greatest Scooby-Doo pictures like Zombie Island, Witch'southward Ghost, Cyber Hunt, and Alien Invasion. They're all childhood favorites of mine that would concord upwards today for a contemporary kid seeing Scooby-Doo for the commencement fourth dimension. Getting the Japanese animation studio Mook in to provide slick, fast, and complex animation is worlds better than the old repeating xerography blitheness from the old Scooby-Doo movies like Ghoul Schoolhouse or Reluctant Werewolf. Producer Davis Doi and Japanese animation directors Hiroshi Aoyama alongside Kazumi Fukushima did a phenomenal task finding a new sleek way to breathing Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, and his friends. Zombie Island is visually the virtually hitting of the Scooby-Doo films with moody dark lighting, fast chase sequences, scary monster encounters, and hilarious comedic bits throughout. Mystery Inc. finding out a killer monster is just a man in a mask scaring off intruders to claim a fortune. Writer Glenn Leopold does a revisionist motion to update Scooby-Doo and his pals for modern audiences. From creating existent monsters to the haunting temper of New Orleans' backdrop full of voodoo and Cajun cooking, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island has real style and a refreshingly darker tone. I like the simple choices like getting rid of Fred's dated ascott and bell bottom pants to making these teenagers more flirty and friendly. Davis Doi co-wrote Zombie Isle with Glenn Leopold as well for new ideas. Glenn Leopold even wrote the lyrics to Zombie Island'south iconic alternative stone songs performed past Skycycle called "It'south Terror Time Once more" and "The Ghost Is Here." Editor Paul Douglas cuts Zombie Island and so chop-chop and down to a succinct and delightful 77 minutes of fun on the bayou. Composer Steven Bramson contributes spooky symphonic music that blasts like the neat culling rock soundtrack. Zombie Island sounds so alive and energetic. Billy W takes over as Shaggy Rogers for Casey Kasem, who left the project as he wanted Shaggy to be a vegetarian like himself, and Westward does a corking chore finding Shaggy's manic, hungry energy. Scott Innes provides Scooby-Doo's vox as Don Messick had died just before Zombie Island. The picture is defended in his memory. I dearest Mary Kay Bergman's voice as the feisty and persistent Daphne Blake. She'southward 1 of my favorite animated characters ever with her upbeat optimism and bubbly personality. Frank Welker returns equally Fred Jones with his pleasant kindness and confident, steadfast leadership of Mystery Inc. B. J. Ward sounds intelligent, charming, and intrigued every bit Velma Dinkley. Adrienne Barbeau is outstanding with her attracting New Orleans Cajun French accent and enigmatic personality for Simone. Tara Strong is wonderful equally Lena Dupree with her New Orleans emphasis and inviting way. Cam Clarke is fun every bit the mysterious gardener Beau Neville. Jim Cummings delivers his best thick Cajun accent equally Jacques, while Mark Hamill gives a bully snarl equally Snakebite Scruggs, who hates tourists. I capeesh how well everyone acted for the voice cast of Zombie Island. In conclusion, Zombie Island remains the single greatest Scooby-Doo film and a worthwhile picture to entrance families forever. It'south stellar direction, captivating temper, and adrenalizing alternative rock soundtrack are all as mesmerizing as the resplendent Japanese animation.

Perfect Scooby Doo picture! Maybe not a perfect moving-picture show, but what else could y'all want from a direct to video Scooby movie? Real monsters, a real mystery, and a genuine threat. Non to mention, this moving picture as well scared me to decease as a kid. The franchise is definitely at its best when it uses existent elements of horror! Definitely worth a lookout man if y'all savor those meddling kids and their domestic dog!

La película refleja la esencia de Scooby doo que siempre debió ser trayendo terror, misterio y mucho humour, una gran película que no le debe zip a otras adaptaciones.

While not my favorite Scooby Doo mystery or story this movie is total of twists and turns that most people over the age of 10 can predict pretty speedily. That beingness said this is non a kids movie, its supposed to be a kids movie but.....this movie has grotesque dismemberment such as decapitation (even if information technology is a zombie) people die or are transformed (features are rendered near unrecognizable) information technology is far from a kids film. I exercise recollect seeing it as a kid but for some reason this ane just did not scare me as much as others did. The mystery is actually solvable which is pretty absurd and the music actually heightens the feel of the motion picture. It is a Scooby Doo flick so expect some kiddy comedy moments as well. The picture is a perfect flick and seems to be exactly the movie it was supposed to be its just not my favorite. If you are a Scooby Doo fan its a must watch but for well-nigh people its likely a hit or miss.
